The
smaller LT-100 system is designed for medium-length lines
such as those found at bulk storage facilities and at truck
and railcar loading racks. It is approximately 68 inches high
by 18 inches wide by 38 inches long, and weighs about 175
pounds. It is battery-operated and attaches to any 3/4-inch
to 1 1/2-inch connection along the
pipeline by means of a flexible hose or a 1-inch steel pipe,
depending on the pressure in the pipeline. The LT-100 has
undergone a third-party certification compliant with the EPAs
procedures for evaluating pipeline leak detection systems.
It is now listed with the independent National Work Group
on Leak Detection Evaluation.
he LT-100 system offers a great deal of flexibility
in terms of test duration. The standard 2-hour test, which
is the one most commonly implemented, can detect a leak equal
to 0.0021% of pipeline volume, down to one-tenth of a gallon
per hour. There are two options for shorter tests, both of
which offer favorable tradeoffs between time and accuracy.
The 1-hour test can detect a leak equal to 0.004% of pipeline
volume, down to two-tenths of a gallon per hour, and the 15-minute
test can detect a leak of 3 gallons per hour.
Mobile Version
Vista offers its LT-100 either as a permanent installation
or as a mobile system. The mobile LT-100, typically installed
in a truck, can be transported to different sites whenever
periodic testing of a pipeline is needed.
Testing Services
Vista offers testing services
conducted with its LT-100 system.
